Standards changes March 2005

After reviewing the results and feedback from the pilot study of implementation of the standards, some changes were made to the standards. These were:

• The definition of standards and protocols in the introduction was clarified.
• The equipment standard was rephrased and changed in layout to make its requirements clearer.
• The data collection standard was clarified with respect to the subject requirement, references to distance able to walk etc were removed as it felt this was too prescriptive and instead is stated as a recommendation.
• In data verification and processing the processed required were reformatted to simplify the reading of the standard, although requirements remain unchanged.
• Minor grammatical changes were made throughout.
