CMAS Annual Meeting and AGM 2007

The Conservatoire, Birmingham, Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd April

The meeting this year was organised by the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre and held in the Birmingham Conservatoire. The meeting was well suported with trade stands from Biometrics, Biosense, Coda, Cranlea, Kistler, Novel, Qualisys and VICON. In addition to our normal programme, there was a satellite session on the Rehabilitation of Hemiparetic Gait and Posture running on the morning of Monday 2nd April at Birmingham University.

The Reception and Dinner was held at the Jurys Inn, 245 Broad Street, Birmingham on the Monday evening.

The main meeting was held on the Tuesday, with a good mix of keynotes talks and free paper sessions. The CMAS AGM guest speaker was Mr Tim Theologis, who gave an interesting review on The Opportunities and Threats for Gait Analysis in the Future. The meeting closed with a fascinating debate on There is a place for private portable gait analysis systems in clinical and sporting settings, with the motion being supported by Dr James Shippen and opposed by Dr Adam Shortland.
